If you’re different, school can be hell. This is a funny, tear-jerking, endearing and simply written novel, featuring a boy with facial disfigurement as the aspirational hero. A strong, sensitive message for those suffering social exclusion, although to be honest I did find it a bit too Disney-sweet in places.
