Acts of Service

Lillian Fishman

Eve is a complex character, a lesbian in a relationship with a woman, who finds herself in another, secret polyamorous relationship, engaging in mostly heterosexual acts with a rich white guy ... cue much angst and elegant late-night discussions of desire, sexual norms and power. Questioning queerness, control, feminism and more, I felt that whilst there was no final conclusion, perhaps prompting all these questions was the author's point?
