The Name of a Bullfighter by Luis Sepulveda

The Name of a Bullfighter

Luis Sepulveda

Two men unknown to each other are both constrained to pursue a medieval treasure stolen and hidden by the Nazis and then stolen from them in turn. Written with a cold economical beauty, Sepulveda's love of Chile - both the beautiful and the ugly - suffuses every page. As a reader I felt homesick for a place I've never visited.

Extract
